Digital technology

At Northfield we provide a wide range of ICT tools for all students to engage with their learning whilst developing the very necessary 21st-century ICT skills and thinking. All classes develop units of work in line with the Australian Curriculum.

To develop ICT literate students for now and the future, Northfield provides a variety of ICTs to meet the learning needs of the students. Whether students are collaborating on a project, completing individual research or collecting data there is a variety of devices available. We have multiple trolleys of iPads and laptops available for students to use and wireless access throughout the school.  R-4 classrooms has a combination of iPads, and computers. In 2024 our year 5/6 classes began a one-to-one laptop scheme. Staff use touch TVs.

At Northfield we ensure that students can always access the ICT they need to create, investigate and design to meet their learning needs.
